WETZEL in the WOODS

In May of 2022 I ventured down to the greater Phoenix area to capture some incredible landscape imagery of Saguaro Cactus. It's always a bit overwhelming to pursue incredible landscape imagery in a location you've never been. It all boils down to two things, either getting lucky, or putting in the required work.

Recently I worked on a massive project with Canon, launching a new lens, the RF16-28mm F2.8 IS STM. The global product launch features my work as I introduce the new lens while shooting freeride mountain biking, skiing, and landscape imagery.

The GRIZZLY COLUMN Project, features award-winning photographer NOAH WETZEL and his 140-hour pursuit of a unique skiing image in late May 2023 in Alta Utah with TOM WALLISCH - global freeskiing icon and pioneer, X-Games Gold Medalist, DEW Tour Champion, ESPN's Action Sports Athlete of the Year 2012, and NBC Olympic Commentator/X-Games Commentator.

Eclipse Outlaw Chase showcases award-winning photographer Noah Wetzel and his 250-hour project, creating a western outlaw chase scene with five horseback riders equipped with pistols and rifles riding full-gallop underneath the Total Solar Eclipse on April 8th 2024 in Hill Country Texas.
From conceptualizing the final idea, finding five committed horseback riders in Texas he'd never met, multiple days of practicing and testing, to the final moment with only three attempts during a 4-minute and 23 second window during Totality, this 46-minute documentary showcases a world-class pursuit to create and capture one of the most powerful and surreal images captured of the Total Solar Eclipse in 2024.
